SKM or Seleksi Kemitraan dan Mandiri is a term of selection held by ITS independently using score of the test to screen the new students for ITS Bachelor Program. The participants of this selection may use score obtained from UTBK (national computer-based test, as used in SBMPTN or National Selection Based on Test) or register to take the test held by ITS named TKA-ITS. Those who apply Design Major must take the test held by ITS named UMDesain. As it named, this selection consists of two lines, public (Seleksi Mandiri) and partnership (Seleksi Kemitraan), which participants should choose one to join this selection. This selection is organized with a purpose to screen prospective students with maintaining quality and also enhance cooperation and equal opportunity.
New Students Admission of ITS in 2022 opens to all undergraduate study programs which are grouped into 6 faculties, except international undergraduate program which is held separately. Participants of this selection can choose directly the desired study program or major, with maximum of 2 choices in application.
The following is a list of study programs or majors offered for Independent Selection (SKMP, including three lines: based on the achievement and based on the test -public and partnership lines) with their capacities for academic year 2022-2023.
The list below is a clustering of major offered in ITS based on the tightness which is measured from the number of registrants on previous selection compared to the number of new students accepted in Independent Selection.
Seleksi Kemitraan dan Mandiri (SKM) is a pattern of ITS new student admission based on screening participants using the test score obtained from UTBK or national computer-based test as used in SBMPTN and/or taking the equalized test held by ITS named TKA-ITS. In addition to whom apply design major, participants must take the test held by ITS including drawing potential test named UMDesain. If participants use two of the test result, the best score among the test will be chosen to be used on selection ranking process. This selection is also requiring report card/transcript score, motivation letter, and any achievements as consideration.
This selection can be registered by all high school graduates who graduated from school in 2020, 2021, or 2022. Provision about the major taken back in school to ITS major follows the recommendation in SBMPTN (national selection based on test).

In the selection process, the selection committee will consider achievements or awards as evidenced by evidence of achievement documents. To make it easier to distinguish the types of scores needed in this selection, ITS group major or study programs in several category listed below. Saintek is the test with concentration of Science and Technology. Soshum is the test with concentration of Social Humanities. Desain is the test with concentration of Art and Design.

The procedures of registration for Indepedent Selection Based on Test will be conducted online through ITS website ITS on http://admission.its.ac.id/ with these steps:
Mistakes/cheats in filling out this form can result in cancellation of acceptance at ITS. Registration data cannot be changed after the form is completed and stored permanently/finalized
For prospective students who are declared to have passed the Partnership and Independent Selection, they are required to fill in data online by filling in their biodata and uploading the required documents through the http://sipmaba.its.ac.id page and re-registering. Requirements and procedures for filling in sipmaba data and re-registration will be informed when the selection results are announced.
Prospective students who are accepted through the ITS 2022 Partnership and Independent Selection are subject to tuition fees in the form of Tuition or Educational Development Donations (SPP) which are paid at the beginning of each semester before lectures and Institutional Development Donations (SPI) which are paid at the beginning of the student’s acceptance.
This selection does not accept applicants with KIP College. However, after being accepted, prospective students can still register for other scholarships at ITS.
Tuition in the form of tuition is paid every semester at the beginning before the lecture starts. The amount of the fee is determined by ITS in three categories by considering the ability of parents through reporting procedures when re-registering.
Categories and Rates of SPP
For students who are accepted through the Partnership and Independent Selection in the Joint-Degree program, tuition fees are charged as follows:
SPI is paid after the student is declared accepted. When re-registering, prospective students who are accepted must pay a minimum of 25% of the nominal SPI before filling in the re-registration data. The remainder of the total nominal SPI can be paid in installments according to the provisions by submitting an application. The minimum SPI rate depends on the chosen study program.
This selection cannot be applied with KIP-Kuliah Scholarship. In addition to KIP-Kuliah scholarships, ITS collaborates with various agencies to provide scholarships and tuition aids for ITS students. Students can obtain scholarships or tuition aids from various sources after obtaining an academic GPA and the available forms as a prerequisite for obtaining a scholarship.
