Academic Writing Center

Introduction

In achieving the vision of becoming a top World Class University, ITS continues to encourage and provide capacity-building programs for its faculty. One of the programs initiated for the year 2024 is the Series of Capacity Building for ITS Young Lecturers, consisting of a series of workshops in collaboration with international partners and the Academic Writing Center (AWC) at ITS.

The program offers several types of short workshops that can be chosen by ITS faculty according to their personal development needs and to enhance the profile of faculties, departments, and laboratories.

The workshop series is divided into three focuses:

1. Workshop on improving teaching skills and academic writing instruction (academic and research).
2. Workshop on enhancing academic writing skills.
3. Workshop on improving research writing skills.

During this opportunity, ITS collaborates with several global partners, including SUSS Singapore, SMU Singapore, and Canadian fellows from HETI*.

Some workshops are mandatory for young ITS lecturers (especially those in the 2023 intake) and are recommended for senior faculty members.
