Building Synergy from the Start: 2025 ITS DTEO New Student Parent Meeting
Surabaya, August 2, 2025 — The Department of Electrical Automation Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) officially welcomed the new student class of 2025 through a New Student Parent Meeting. The event was held in the Meeting Room and Classroom AA-110 of the DTEO. This activity was an important first step in establishing communication and building synergy between the department and parents, who serve as partners in
The event took place in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. The parents in attendance were divided into two groups and participated in parallel activities. In the Meeting Room, the event was moderated by Ms. Lucky Putri Rahayu, S.Si., M.Si., as Head of the Department of Electrical Automation Engineering. Meanwhile, in Classroom AA-110, the activity took place with Mr. Fauzi Imaduddin Adhim, S.ST., MT. as the Secretary of the Department. Ms. Lucky and Mr. Fauzi
each gave a speech and presented a general introduction to the Department of Electrical Automation Engineering to the parents in each room.
The explanations given by each department head included a general introduction to the Department of Electrical Automation Engineering, the curriculum implemented, the learning system that supports student competency development, and the use of the MyITS Wali platform for academic mentoring. Parents were also introduced to the educational principles and approaches at DTEO, including project-based learning and character education.
All questions were answered openly by the team of lecturers, reflecting DTEO’s commitment to building an educational system that is informative, transparent, and supports student development.
This event is a positive first step in building parental involvement in the educational process at university. By establishing good communication from the outset, it is hoped that a strong synergy will be created between families and institutions in supporting students on their academic journey in the ITS Department of Electrical Automation Engineering.
