Masters Program (S2)

Post-graduate students in information systems will be prepared as leaders and innovators in the global competition in information systems. Other skills will also be given to this program such as critical and analytical thinking, leadership, communication, working in teams and being creative in developing and implementing information system solutions.

Graduates of the Information Systems Department graduate accommodate a customized curriculum with input from JSI-ITS graduate users, recommendations from professional associations (AIS and ACM), and professional IS / IT trend analysis as well as JSI-ITS graduate opportunities in the future. DSI graduates also adopt the method of grouping jobs in the IS / IT field (Robert Half Technology, 2008). For this reason, the JSI-ITS curriculum 2014-2019 aims to produce graduates who are able to carry out 4 (four) roles, namely:

  1. The Information Systems Developer (IS Developer) is a role that includes designers, makers, testers, evaluators, business rules makers, to prepare information system support resources (SI) so that the organization’s business objectives / problems can be achieved / resolved efficiently and effectively through assistance SI. This role can be done among others by SI / IT Project Managers, System Analysts, Business System Analysts, System Designers, System Designers, and Application Architects.
  2. Consultants and System Integrators (Consultant & System Integrators), namely roles that include supervision, evaluation and consultation of information technology solutions (IT), as well as the integration of various business processes facilitated by IS / IT including at the enterprise level. This role can be performed including by IS / IT Consultants, Practice Managers, Enterprise Architects, and ERP Specialists.
  3. Database Specialist, namely the role that includes designers, builders, maintenance (including updating), to database analysis. This role can be done, among others, by Database Designers, Database Programmers, Database Administrators, Data Analysts, Data Warehouse Analysts, and Business Intelligence Analysts.
  4. Academics SI (IS Academician), namely the role related to the attitude of an intellectual such as critical, analytical, and produce scientific work. This role can be done, among others, by Master of Information Systems students.

Later, Information Systems master graduates can fill various roles from teaching, consulting and professionals such as system analysts, system integrators, project managers, data administrators, infrastructure and network professionals, customer service and product managers, and software developers.
