Academic Rules

  1. Evaluation of student learning processes and outcomes is carried out at least 4 (four) times in one semester.
  2. Students who do not do all the required assignments or do not follow the planned evaluation stage do not get learning outcomes at the end of the semester or get an E grade.
  3. The measurement scale for evaluating student learning processes and outcomes is stated as follow:

  4. The measure of the success of the learning process and results is expressed by the Achievement Index (IP)
  5. The grades that are recognized for courses taken again are the last grades obtained.
  6. The measures of the success of process activities and learning outcomes in one semester is expressed by the Semester Achievement Index (IPS), namely the IP calculated from all courses taken in the relevant semester.
  7. The ability of one foreign language and the SKEM score is used as a graduation requirement for students with a minimum score as listed in the following table:

  8. A student’s graduation from an educational program is determined by the Chancellor based on the results of the judicial session.
  9. Graduates are given a graduation predicate consisting of three levels, namely:
    Satisfactory, Very Satisfactory, and Cum laude.
  10. Determination of graduation predicate is determined based on GPA and study period as follows:

  1. Students are allowed to apply for study leave after attending lectures for at least the first two semesters, except for students who are pregnant or who are undergoing treatment which makes it impossible to participate in academic activities
  2. For undergraduate program students, leave is given a maximum of four semesters during study at ITS, and for master and doctoral program students a maximum of two semesters during study at ITS.
  3. Each leave may be granted two consecutive semesters.
  4. Applications for leave are submitted to the Dean no later than four weeks after the semester starts, except for the reasons written in paragraphs (1) and (2), accompanied by supporting documents and known by the Guardian Lecturer and Head of Study Program/Head of Department.
  5. The period of leave is not taken into account in the study period
  1. Every student during their education at ITS can be declared to stop studying or be dismissed.
  2. Stopping studies or being dismissed as referred to in paragraph (1), can be caused by several things as follows:
  3. Berhenti studi atau diberhentikan sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat (1), dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa hal sebagai berikut:
    • resigned at his own request
    • declared to have resigned
    • the study period is over, or
    • violates ITS regulations
  4. Stopping the study as referred to in paragraph (2) is determined through the Rector’s Decree
  5. Students who are declared to have stopped studying, except those who violate ITS regulations, are given the right to obtain a certificate and a list of study achievements

Based on the ITS Curriculum Preparation Guidelines 2018 – 2023 article 9 paragraphs 1 and 2, the curriculum is a reference to the minimum quality standard for the implementation of a study program, which is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content, and learning materials as well as the method used as an implementation guideline to achieve the objectives of the study program. In accordance with the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 8 of 2012 concerning KKNI, the curriculum for the D-III Statistics study program is prepared based on the learning outcomes of graduates referring to the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), where the Learning Outcomes of the D-III Statistics Study Program curriculum include 4 elements, namely Attitude, General Skills, Specific Skills, and Knowledge Mastery.

The preparation of Learning Outcomes (CP) for the D-III Statistics Study Program in addition to covering the 4 elements above, also considers the profile of graduates, where the profiles of graduates of the ITS Statistics D-III study program include Data Analysis, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, PPIC, Bureaucrats, Analysis Bank Credit/Insurance, Cost Analysis, Entrepreneurship, Marketing.

To achieve the four elements of the KKNI, a Statistics DIII Study Program curriculum was prepared which consists of 110 credits, of which 59 credits support the first element, namely Workability which consists of 9 CP, 40 credits support the second element, namely Knowledge Mastery which consists of 7 CP, and 11 credits are ITS content courses. While the third element, namely Managerial Ability, consists of 5 CP, and the fourth element, namely Attitude and Values, consisting of 1 CP, has been embedded in every existing course, where the 110 credits must be taken within 6 semesters.

The D-III Statistics Study Program curriculum includes 4 (Four) Clusters of Courses (RMK), namely RMK Formal Statistics, Modeling Statistics, Industrial Statistics, and Business Statistics, where the RMK Formal Statistics consists of 14 credits (6 courses), Modeling Statistics RMK consists of 27 credits (9 courses) RMK Industrial Statistics consists of 18 credits (6 courses), and RMK Business Statistics consists of 18 credits (7 courses). For ITS content courses, there are 27 credits (11 courses), while the Practical Work and Final projects are 2 credits and 4 credits, respectively.
