The vision of the Fundamental Science Research Center refers to the ITS research vision, which is to play an active role in the latest scientific research in all fields of fundamental science, leading to the discovery of new knowledge and the creation of new perspectives on methods and materials by highlighting the potential of Indonesia’s resources.

The mission of the Center for Fundamental Science is:

• Producing the latest scientific research in all areas of fundamental science, leading to the discovery of new knowledge and the creation of new perspectives on methods and materials.
• Producing scientific publications in reputable international journals.
• Producing research that is in line with Indonesia’s current challenges and needs and highlights the potential of Indonesia’s resources.
• Establishing research and publication cooperation in the field of fundamental science with partners from within and outside the country.
• Producing prototype research that has high commercial value as a continuation of the utilization of inventions from previous research, for nurturing innovative research.
• Facilitate users of consulting services in identifying and analyzing problems in the field of fundamental science to produce tested alternative solutions.
• Actively involved in several activities, such as conducting zoom meetings on tips for writing review articles.
