Call for Participants: GPbL in Computer Science ITS-SIT 2024
Information
The 1st Global Project-based Learning (GPbL) Program in Computer Science is a collaborative program between the Department of Mathematics ITS and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SIT.
This short program will be held in the Department of Computer Science, Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan on September 2 – 8, 2024. Applications will be accepted until 4 PM on June 21, 2024. We will accept 12 students to attend this program.
Note that the students are responsible for their own living expenses (including flight tickets and accommodation) during the program.

Eligibilities:
- Active ITS bachelor student from Department of Mathematics ITS.
- Having good English (oral and written).
- Minimum GPA 3.00.
- Highly motivated, committed, and discipline.
- Have not participated in any onsite (outbound) GPbL previously.
- Have knowledge of and interest in Data Science.
Requirements:
- Academic CV in English. (Free Format)

- An official transcript of the applicant’s academic record in the last one academic year (in English)
- Language Certificate (English and/ or Japanese if any).
- Your portrait photo as jpeg.
- Copy of applicants Passport (Photo and signature should be on the page, you may upload later).
- Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must be signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program. Free format in English)
Selection Timeline
- June 21, 2024 – Deadline for application
- July 1-3, 2024 – Selection and Interview (in English)
- July 4, 2024 – Participant announcement (The result will be sent by email)
- End of August 2024 – Participant briefing

- At most 80,000JPY JASSO Scholarship for each student depending on the GPA.
Jasso Scholarship Condition
The applicants are not allowed to obtain any scholarship from the other organization during the program. Multiple JASSO scholarships could not be provided by participating in more than two programs at the same time.
