Unlocking Career Opportunities in Automotive and Consumer Sectors, Department of Mathematics ITS Holds Guest Lecture with MPM Group

SURABAYA – The Department of Mathematics at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) remains dedicated to connecting students with industry insights and career pathways. Located at the Hall Tower 1 Room, Department of Mathematics ITS, a guest lecture titled “Career Opportunities and Pathways for Mathematics Graduates at MPM Group (PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk)” was successfully conducted on Tuesday (13/10/2026).

The event featured two division heads from MPM Group: Rita Djohar, M.Psi., Psychologist, CH, CHt (Human Capital & General Service Division Head) and Suhari, S.Si. (Marketing Communication & Development Division Head). Both speakers delivered strategic perspectives on career prospects and the value of analytical skill sets in the modern automotive and consumer services industry.

In her session, Rita Djohar detailed talent criteria, corporate culture, and career advancement pathways available for Mathematics ITS graduates within MPM Group. Meanwhile, Suhari, S.Si. shared insights on how a mathematical background can be flexibly and strategically applied to marketing communication, business development, and market analysis.

Participant enthusiasm was evident through an engaging Q&A session. Through this guest lecture, the Department of Mathematics ITS aims to boost student confidence in mapping out their future careers and exploring diverse opportunities across national industries.
