Joint Workshop for Global Engineers in Asia (JWGEA)

Brief overview

JWGEA is a consortium where members collaborate together and participate in a joint workshop for Global Engineers in Asia. Its objectives are as follows:

  • Support the  development  of  communication, planning,  leadership,  and  cross-cultural skills through joint implementation of students from a variety of linguistic, cultural, and research backgrounds
  • Improve understanding and recognition of differentculture and English ability of the students
  • Promote networking and research exchange among the faculties, researchers and students of each university members.

  • Ritsumeikan University (RU), Japan;
  • Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia;
  • King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand and
  • Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University (ETU), Russia.

Scope

A forum where young researchers in various fields of Engineering from 5 university members are expected to build a mutual research collaboration that could positively contribute to the reinforcement of the inter-institution partnership.
