International Partnership Day is a strategic forum organized by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) to strengthen and expand international collaboration with global partner institutions. The event reflects ITS commitment to advancing high-quality internationalization in higher education.
The forum provides a platform for partners to engage hand in hand with ITS in exploring opportunities for student and staff mobility, joint academic programs, collaborative research, and institutional capacity building, while also showcasing ITS academic strengths, flagship international programs, and strategic directions in global engagement.
This year, International Partnership Day will be held onsite at the ITS campus, where we warmly invite our partners to visit Surabaya and experience firsthand the vibrant academic atmosphere, research environment, and innovation ecosystem at ITS.
Through this event, we hope to foster meaningful dialogue, strengthen existing partnerships, and explore new avenues for impactful collaboration in education, research, and innovation, moving forward together towards #PartnershipForExcellence.
Since 2022, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has organized International Partnership Day (IPD) as an annual virtual forum to strengthen and expand its global engagement. The event serves as a strategic platform to nurture sustainable collaboration with international partner institutions while reinforcing ITS’s commitment to advancing internationalization in higher education.
Each year, IPD brings together ITS and its partners to reflect on the progress of collaborations over the past year, including student and faculty mobility, joint research initiatives, and the implementation of institutional agreements. The program also features updates on ITS flagship programs and strategic priorities for the upcoming year, providing partners with insights into new opportunities for collaboration.
A key highlight of this event is the breakout discussion sessions, where participants engage in focused conversations on specific topics such as student exchange, faculty exchange, short programs, joint research, and other collaborative initiatives. These sessions create meaningful space for dialogue, idea exchange, and the development of concrete follow-up actions.
In addition to engaging international university partners, ITS also conducts a dedicated Partnership Day session for Indonesian Overseas Representatives (Embassies, Consulates, and Trade Offices), expressing appreciation for their continued support in promoting Indonesian higher education institutions, including ITS, while strengthening coordination in advancing education diplomacy and international cooperation.
International Partnership Day connects partners worldwide to foster collaboration in education, research, and innovation, strengthening global engagement towards #PartnershipForExcellence.
Amid the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of partnership as a powerful and significant tool to support HEIs to adapt and live with the new circumstances becomes even more significant. Driven by this spirit, we proudly present International Partnership Day, with the theme of #StrongerTogether During the Pandemic: Collaboration Journey between ITS and Partners.
In 2022, this event features panelists from several partner universities of ITS who share their experiences and perspectives on international collaboration during the pandemic. Through this event, we aspire to learn and exchange insights on global engagement best practices and emerging trends from our partners during this challenging period.
The event was conducted in two days, on 22 and 24 March, in order to accommodate participants from different parts of the world. The sessions are divided into two regional focuses: APAC (Asia, Pacific, America) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
In addition to the panel discussions, the event will also include interactive discussion sessions that provide opportunities for networking and initiating potential new collaborations among the participating institutions.
Stepping out the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrating the powerful partnership among HEIs during the year of recovery, ITS invited all respected partners of ITS to the 2023 International Partnership Day.
Through IPD, we aspire to learn and share about the global engagement’s best practices & trends from our partners post-pandemic through a discussion session which could also be a platform to start a new collaboration between the invited institutions.
More importantly, raising the theme of “Greater Impact through Stronger Collaboration”, ITS proudly presented the Distinguished Partners Awards to reminisce our valuable collaboration in 2022.
