Outbound Staff Mobility

Outbound Staff Mobility a.k.a OSM is a program specially designed for ITS non-academic staffs to broaden their experience abroad, get international exposure, strengthen relations with other staff(s) in partner universities and institution in ASEAN. It is first initiated in 2013.

This program has mainly 3 objectives, which are:

  • Giving new insights and experiences of working in the professional diverse work place
  • Building professional networking between non-academic staffs from both universities
  • Strengthening the cooperation between both parties by increasing the number of staff mobility
Non-academic staffs who are willing to join this program should pass several selection project, which mainly:
  1. Document selection
  2. Written test (optional)
  3. Upgrading/workshop
During the upgrading/workshop, participants are actively involved in class activities to improve their global competences such as communication in English, building and managing professional networking, business letter, updated knowledge about ITS, etc. So that, they could be ITS delegates which represent ITS and their unit/department during the internship period in partner universities.

Over the years, the number of non-academic staffs who are interested in joining and doing internship through this program has been increasing (as shown in the graph below). The designated partner universities have also become diverse, not only in Thailand but also in Malaysia.

This proves that ITS non-academic staffs could also have the same opportunities to develop and go global as ITS academic staffs. Such program is good to be maintained to give new insight for staffs who stand at the front line of the campus services.
