Scope

Access to UMAP gives Indonesian education institutions the following:

  1. Mobility for students and faculty via reciprocal exchanges to higher education institutions in Asia and on the Pacific Rim.
  2. Promotion of short-term (1-8 week) programs to a wide range of stakeholders.
  3. Access to scholarships for study in Japan and Taiwan
  4. A foothold in emerging and existing markets for international students
  5. Strategic partnerships with UMAP partner institutions that share their values and vision around internationalization

Potential Activities

Potential activities with ITS through UMAP include student exchange programs, short-term academic programs, virtual international learning, and COIL-based collaboration with UMAP partner institutions. ITS could also offer Program C activities such as short courses, summer programs, cultural exchange, entrepreneurship programs, SDGs-related projects, and technology-based learning experiences. Through UMAP, ITS can strengthen academic credit transfer using UCTS, support staff mobility for international office development, and join research collaboration through UMAP Research Net. These activities can help ITS expand international partnerships, increase student mobility, and build stronger academic collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region
