The Joint Workshop for Global Engineers in Asia and Beyond (JWGEA) 2019 is a scientific meeting to facilitate bright young researchers to present and share their research as well as to broaden their network among the international researchers. The workshop was firstly initiated in 2014 by four international reputable universities which are Ritsumeikan University, Japan; Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia; King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand; and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia. Since 2018 JWGEA has broadened cooperation with one of the universities in Russia, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University (ETU). By attending this workshop, young researchers from 5 universities are expected to build a mutual research collaboration that could positively contribute to the reinforcement of the inter-institution partnership.
