SGroup – Universities in Europe

Brief Overview

The SGroup – Universities in Europe (SGroup) is a non-profit network established in 1989 that brings together over 40 higher education institutions from Europe and beyond. It aims to promote excellence in education and research while supporting universities in adapting to evolving academic and societal needs. With more than three decades of experience, SGroup fosters collaboration through key areas such as internationalisation, academic cooperation, mobility, and knowledge transfer, providing a platform for joint initiatives and long-term institutional partnerships.

Scope

SGroup includes international cooperation and academic collaboration through joint projects, mobility programs, and knowledge exchange among member universities. It also covers areas such as academic quality and governance, digital and green transformation, and the integration of research, education, and societal engagement. Additionally, SGroup supports activities like staff development, student mobility, project development, and participation in European-funded initiatives, strengthening institutional capacity and global partnerships.
