Exciting news for prospective postgraduate students! A new Scholarship Scheme for International Students from ASEAN Countries is now open for applications. This scheme is specifically designed to support outstanding students applying for the TJU-UoL Master’s Programs.
Scholarship Quota & Funding
There are a total of 6 awards available under this scheme:
- Full Scholarship: 1 recipient will receive 150,000 RMB.
- First-Class Scholarship: 2 recipients will receive 40,000 RMB each.
- Second-Class Scholarship: 3 recipients will receive 10,000 RMB each.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this merit-based scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of an ASEAN member state holding a valid national passport.
- Apply for the TJU-UoL master’s programs and meet all official admission requirements.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0 (or an equivalent qualification, such as UK upper second-class honours).
- Meet the program’s English proficiency standards, such as an IELTS score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0.
- Possess good moral character and abide by Chinese laws as well as university regulations.
- Demonstrate strong academic potential and a willingness to promote Sino-ASEAN academic and cultural exchanges.
Selection Process
The selection process is open, fair, and merit-based:
- Application: Submit the online program application along with an additional scholarship application statement.
- Preliminary Review: Applications are reviewed for eligibility, submitted materials, and academic/English performance to shortlist candidates for an interview.
- Interview Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will participate in an online or offline English interview focusing on academic potential and cross-cultural competence.
- Final Evaluation & Publicity: Results will be publicly noticed for 5 working days on the Joint Institute’s official website.
- Award Confirmation: The scholarship notice will be issued alongside the admission letter, and the actual funding will be granted after enrollment.
Important Notes
1-Scholarship Scheme for International Students from ASEAN Countries
- This scholarship is strictly exclusive to ASEAN students applying for the TJU-UOL master’s programs. It cannot be combined with other TJU or UoL scholarships unless explicitly specified.
- TJU reserves the right of interpretation for this scheme. In the event of any inconsistencies, national or local scholarship policies will prevail.
