Joint Workshop for Global Engineer in Asia (JWGEA) is a collaborative annual program involving four universities: King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (Thailand), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia), Ritsumeikan University (Japan), and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia). Since 2015, the workshop has rotated among host institutions and includes academic and cultural activities.
The program aims to develop students’ communication, leadership, and cross-cultural skills, enhance cultural understanding and English proficiency, and foster networking and research collaboration among students, faculty, and researchers.
A forum where students and young researchers from four partner universities collaborate across various engineering fields to exchange research ideas, build international networks, and strengthen inter-institutional partnerships, while also promoting cross-cultural understanding and academic collaboration.
