Kanazawa University Short-term Exchange Program for the Spring Semester 2027

Dear ITS Students,
Kanazawa University is now accepting nominations for the Short-term Exchange Program for the Spring 2027 semester. This program offers international academic and cultural experience in Japan’s historic and innovative Kanazawa region.

Program Details

• Tuition Fee: Waived (Other expenses should be covered by the students)

• Costs Covered by Students: Learning materials, accommodation, living expenses, round-trip airfare, visa, and insurance

• Program Period April – July 2027

Applicants to faculties outside the School of Human and Social Sciences must obtain prior informal consent from a prospective academic supervisor.

Required Documents (for all applicants)

• CV (with full name, birth date, contact details)

• Certificate of Enrollment ITS Version

• Latest Academic Transcript in English (min. GPA 3.00/4.00)

  • S2 applicants must also include S1 transcript

• Passport-style photo

• Academic transcript or report of results

• Letter of recommendation 

• Certificate of Enrollment

• Copy of passport (valid for at least 1 year from April 2026)

•  English language proficiency Reference Proof of Language Proficiency  (attach IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, TEFL)

• Statement Letter (template provided)

• Learning Agreement (signed by applicant and department head/secretary)

• Parent’s Statement Letter (in Bahasa Indonesia) confirming full financial and emotional support – no format required

• GCW Non-Degree Certificate (min. C) or GCW Result (min. 80)

  • S2 students may submit R2SEP Certificate instead

Additional Requirements (Faculty-Specific)

Applicants to the following faculties or graduate schools must submit a screenshot or copy of an email showing informal approval from a prospective academic supervisor:

• College of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation

• College of Science and Engineering

• College of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences (undergraduate only)

• All graduate schools (except Human and Social Sciences)

Applicants to medical-related faculties (below) must submit these three additional documents:

• Medical Report

• Pledge

• Immunization Record

Applies to:

• Graduate School of Advanced Preventive Medical Sciences

Eligibility

• ITS Students (S1 Batch 2024 and all S2 batches)

• Must meet academic and language proficiency requirements (minimum CEFR B2 or equivalent)

• Submit your application via the ITS Study Abroad Form

• Format: All documents must be combined into one .zip or .rar file (PDF format only)
