Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (UAS), Finland, is opening nominations for exchange students for the following study periods:

Autumn Semester 2026 (August – December 2026)

General Information

English Language Requirement

Students are required to have a minimum B2 level of English proficiency. Proof of English competence may include:

An official English language certificate (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent), or
A confirmation letter issued by an English lecturer at the home university

Academic Calendar and Orientation

Autumn Semester (including exams):
17 August – 11 December 2026
Mandatory Orientation (on campus):
12 – 14 August 2026

Participation in the orientation programme is mandatory for all exchange students.

Study Level and Course Information

Bachelor Level
Exchange students may enroll in Bachelor-level courses taught in English.
Master Level
Enrollment in Master-level courses is only permitted for students from partner institutions with a valid Master-level exchange agreement with Haaga-Helia.
Master-level courses are generally scheduled online or in the evenings.

Campus Information

Haaga-Helia operates several campuses. Students must indicate their preferred campus during the nomination process.

Helsinki Campus

Business-related and associated study programmes
Located in Helsinki

Porvoo Campus (approximately 60 km from Helsinki)

Specialisation courses in:
- Sustainable Tourism
- Digital Business
- Aviation Business
Accommodation costs are generally more affordable than in Helsinki

Accommodation and Living Costs

Haaga-Helia provides access to affordable student housing. Living expenses vary depending on the campus location, with Porvoo offering comparatively lower accommodation costs.

Eligibility:

ITS Undergraduate (S1) Students from Batch 2023 and 2024
ITS Master’s (S2) Students who have completed at least one semester

Required Documents:

CV (Max. 2 pages)
English-translated University Transcript (GPA ≥2.75/4.0)
Passport Copy (Valid for at least one year from Jan 2022)
English Proficiency Test Score: TOEFL/EFL/TEFL minimum B2 level (TOEFL prediction accepted; screenshot from UPT Bahasa NOT accepted)
Motivation Letter (Max. 2 pages)

- Must be signed by the applicant & advisor/Head of Department
- Institutional Coordinator section may be left blank
Certificate of Enrollment
Certificate of GCW Non-Degree (Min. Grade C) or GCW Non-Degree Test Score ≥80
Parental Statement Letter (in Bahasa) confirming financial and mental support. No specific format required.

Incomplete applications will NOT be processed.
