About the Programme

The Netherlands–Southeast Asia Semiconductor Short Talent Programme is a two-week international initiative organized by Nuffic Southeast Asia in collaboration with the Dutch government and top Dutch technical universities.

Selected students will gain advanced insights into the semiconductor industry through expert lectures, company visits, and international collaboration with fellow students from across Southeast Asia.

Location: Malaysia
Dates: 3–14 August 2026
For: Final Year Bachelor students in relevant fields (e.g. electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, materials science, or related disciplines).


Eligibility

  • Final Year Bachelor students in relevant fields (e.g. electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, materials science, or related disciplines) at ITS

  • Indonesian nationality

  • Strong academic background with interest or prior coursework in semiconductor-related subjects (minimum 3 areas)


Programme Features

  • Lectures and workshops by experts from academia and industry

  • Company visits and lab sessions

  • Team projects and presentations

  • Cultural and networking activities

  • Sessions conducted in English

Costs

  • Programme participation is fully covered.

  • Travel expenses (flights, insurance, etc.) are not covered and must be arranged by the students.


Required Documents:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  2. Scanned passport information page (passport valid at least until 1 July 2026)

  3. Official Academic Transcript in English (minimum GPA: 3.0)

  4. Scanned ITS Student ID/ Certificate of Enrollment

  5. English proficiency certificate equivalent to CEFR B1 (Duolingo, TOEFL ITP/iBT/ IELTS/TOEIC/TEFL)
  6. Statement Letter (Download from this link)

  7. Motivation letter (max. 1 page), including:

    • What is your motivation to participate in this short programme?
    • What are your expectations after participating in this short programme?
    • What are your plans for contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry?
