Dear ITS Students,

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Semester Exchange Program at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen (Netherlands).


Program Overview

  • Tuition Fee: Waived

  • Expenses Covered by Students: Learning materials, accommodation, daily living costs, roundtrip flight, visa, and travel insurance

  • Entry Regulations: Students must check the latest Dutch entry requirements

  • Autumn Semester 2026 (1 September 2026– 1 February 2027)
  • About the program

Important: ITS students may only apply to the Institute of Future Environments. Please check programs with the AS (Autumn Semester/February Start) code in the catalogue: Hanze Catalogue.

ECTS grading information: ECTS Tables.


Academic Information

  • Questions on transcripts, courses, or learning agreements will be handled by the departmental/international coordinator of the Hanze School (contact details available in the program catalogue).

  • Students must transfer the minimum required credits as per ITS policy.

  • A Welcome Day will be held at the beginning of the semester.

Practical Information


Visa and Insurance

  • Non-EU Students: Hanze Immigration Team will apply for your visa/permit after acceptance. Students must provide a financial guarantee.

  • Insurance: Strongly advised for all students. Hanze Immigration will arrange insurance for non-EU students.


Eligibility

  • Diploma/S1: Batch 2023 & 2024

  • S2: All batches


Required Documents

  1. Curriculum Vitae (preferably Europass format)

  2. Motivation letter (1 page, A4, Arial 11, margins 3 cm)

  3. Transcript in English (original)

  4. Two Learning Agreements:

  5. Valid English proficiency test (TOEFL/IELTS/IBT/EFL/TEFL) – minimum TOEFL/EFL 550

    • Screenshots or predictions are not accepted

  6. Passport copy (valid at least 1 year)

  7. One recommendation letter (from academic advisor)

  8. Statement letter (Download here)

  9. Parental support letter (in Bahasa, confirming financial and mental support; no format required)

  10. GCW Non-Degree Certificate (minimum grade C) or GCW Non-Degree Test Result (minimum score 75)

Note: Incomplete applications will not be processed.


Application Procedure

  1. Prepare all documents in PDF format and combine them into one .zip/.rar file.

  2. Submit your application via Study Abroad ITS Form.

  3. After submission, send a confirmation email to studyabroad@its.ac.id with subject:

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: 4 May 2026 (09.00 WIB)

  • Interview session: 6 May 2026
