Dear ITS Students,We are pleased to share an exceptional fully funded Master’s opportunity from The May 18th Institute at Chonnam National University (CNU), South Korea.
The Global NGO Master’s Program (GNMP) offers a full tuition waiver for international students and NGO activists who are passionate about human rights, democracy, and peace, and aspire to become professional NGO leaders driving positive social change.
Launched in 2016, the GNMP serves as a theoretical and practical educational platform for international students and NGO practitioners working in areas such as social enterprises, international relations, social services, advocacy, and humanitarian work.
Rooted in the spirit of the May 18 Gwangju Democratization Uprising, this two-year program offers participants a chance to learn from Korea’s history of civic courage and to foster global solidarity across borders.
Full tuition coverage for the entire Master’s program
Specialized training in NGO leadership and global networking
Academic and practical engagement in human rights, democracy, and peacebuilding
Bachelor’s degree (completed or expected by July 31, 2025)
Strong interest in human rights, democracy, and peace
High English language proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing)
Legally and physically able to study in Korea for two years
Applicants must submit the following documents:
Completed application form
Valid passport (scanned copy)
Bachelor’s certificate or equivalent
Physical examination report (including TB test)
Certificate(s) of human rights activities (if any)
Letter of recommendation
Proof of English language proficiency
