Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Bangkok Treaty
The United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD), in partnership with the Government of Thailand, is pleased to announce the Youth Multimedia Arts Competition: Envisioning a World Free from Nuclear Weapons.This initiative commemorates the 30th Anniversary of the Bangkok Treaty, the landmark agreement that established the Southeast Asia Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone (SEANWFZ).
Young people aged 18–29 from ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste are invited to creatively express their vision of a nuclear-weapon-free future through the following categories:
Visual Arts (Traditional, Digital, AI)
Photography
Short Film & Animation
Grand Prize: Study trip to Hiroshima, Japan, to participate in the 2026 Youth Leader Fund (YLF) Youth Conference
Finalists: Trip to Bangkok, Thailand, to attend the Award Ceremony, Exhibition, and Cultural Programme
Finalists will also have the opportunity to join skills workshops, cultural exchanges, and global outreach activities through exhibitions and online galleries.
