National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan, is pleased to announce that the 2025 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program (NSPESP) is now open for application.
This program aims to nurture young talents in the field of sustainability and foster cross-cultural understanding. It offers a unique opportunity for selected students to join credit-bearing sustainability courses, learn Mandarin, and engage in various cultural activities in Taiwan.
Duration: September 2025 – mid-January 2026
Location: National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan
Program Components:
10–12 hours of courses per week (including 5 hours of mandatory sustainability-related courses)
6 hours of Mandarin courses per week
Cultural immersion activities
Monthly stipend of NTD 10,000 (for 4.5 months)
Round-trip economy-class flight ticket (reimbursement up to NTD 25,000)
On-campus accommodation
Active ITS students from 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students or graduate (Master’s) students
All academic backgrounds are welcome, with a strong interest in sustainability
Have English proficiency proof: Minimum CEFR B2 / TOEFL ITP 543 / iBT 72 / IELTS 5.5
