We are pleased to inform you that Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (HTWG), Germany is now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 Semester Exchange Program (September/October 2025 – February 2026).

Program Details

• Tuition is waived for accepted students.

• Students must cover their own:

  • Learning materials

  • Dormitory and living expenses

  • Roundtrip airfare

  • Visa, quarantine (if required), and insurance

• Students are expected to research and follow all entry requirements to Germany independently, including funding options.

Estimated Living Costs in Konstanz

One-Time Costs:

• Student housing deposit: €750

• Housing registration fee: €50

• Student services contribution: €107.50

• Residence permit: €100

• Semester bus pass: €57

Monthly Expenses:

• Health insurance: ~€120

• Student housing: €250–350

• Food, personal expenses: ~€500

• Radio/TV tax: €18.36

Recommended monthly budget: approx. €900 (excluding travel).

Getting to Konstanz

• From Zurich Airport (Switzerland): Hourly direct trains to Konstanz (~CHF 30).

• From Stuttgart Airport (Germany): S-Bahn to Stuttgart Main Station, then train via Singen (~€45).

• From Frankfurt Airport (Germany): Direct trains every two hours (~€80).

Health Insurance Requirement

All exchange students must be covered under a German public health insurance plan.
International travel insurance is not accepted.
Students from EU countries must bring a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

Accommodation

HTWG’s International Office may help reserve single rooms in residence halls.

• Deposit (€750) and registration fee (€50) must be paid before arrival.

• First month’s rent is due upon arrival in Konstanz.

Eligibility

Open to:

• ITS Diploma and S1 students from batch 2022 and 2023

• All ITS S2 students

S1 students must take and transfer the maximum credit load available.

9. Valid English proficiency certificate:

   • TOEFL ITP ≥ 500 / IBT / IELTS equivalent

   • Screenshots or TOEFL prediction scores are not accepted

10. Recommendation letter from academic advisor

11. Scanned passport (valid for at least 1 year from September 2023)

13. GCW Certificate (minimum grade C or equivalent)

    • S2 students may submit an R2SEP certificate instead

14. Parental Support Letter in English, including financial support statement and signed by parents
