Gyeongsang National University (GNU) in South Korea is now open for applications for the Fall Semester 2025 Exchange Program (September – December 2025).

About GNU

GNU is located in Jinju City, near the southern coast of South Korea.
It is approximately:

• 1.5 hours from Busan (Gimhae) International Airport (PUS) by bus

• 5 hours from Incheon International Airport (ICN)

Due to COVID-19-related changes, transportation information will be provided by the GNU coordinator after visa issuance.

Eligibility

Open to ITS students (D4/S1) batch 2022 & 2023 from relevant departments.
Students are advised to apply to the same or a similar major at GNU.

Note: Over 90% of courses are conducted in Korean. Only about 10% are taught in English. Course registration may be limited if you are not fluent in Korean.

Academic Information

• 1 credit = 50 minutes per week for 15 weeks

• Students must take 12–20 credits during the semester (including Korean Language Course)

• Courses should be transferable to compulsory, elective, or MBKM credits

• Repeating courses already taken at ITS is not allowed

Estimated Living Expenses

• National Health Insurance: approx. USD 40/month (mandatory for all foreign students)

Additional Funding Opportunity: GNU Global Mobility Program (GGMP)

Selected exchange students may be eligible for the GNU Global Mobility Program (GGMP), which offers a monthly scholarship of 500,000 KRW for four months during the exchange period.

Here are the required documents that you need to prepare :

1. Complete Application Forms(ENG) – Consist of Application Form, Dormitory Form, Medical History Form, Financial Info Form, Permission for use personal info form, study plan, self description  and Letter recommendation from your lecturer in Dept completed with the signed. Please also attach the picture in reg form (size 3.5*4.5 centimeter size,) and please bring one when you arrived in GNU
2. One original Official Academic Transcript in English version (GPA min 2.75)
3. Photocopy of the applicant’s passport information page (Valid minimum one year)
4. Certificate of Enrollment
5. The latest English Proficiency Certificate Test Score  TOEFL/EFL (min 477), TOEIC, Duolingo,  or you can use IELTS/IBT. You may also submit screenshoot of your EFL score from UPT Bahasa Website or used TOEFL Prediction. (EFL Dirpendik is not accepted)
6. Statement Letter & Learning Agreement (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ) Please get signature from your Head of Department at Coordinator Department section and please leave blank at Institutional Coordinator section.
7. Certificate of GCW minimum C (please kindly note that this documents is required for this program)
8. Personal Data usage form
9. Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program)
10. GGMP Form

Incomplete applications will not be processed.
