Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China, Summer Programs 2025

Dear ITS Students,

We are pleased to announce that Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China, is offering fully funded slots for their 2025 Summer Programs. These programs provide students with an opportunity to gain academic experience, explore Chinese culture, and engage in international networking.

Available Programs

The following programs are open for application:

1. 2025 Contemporary China – Romantic Dalian International Summer Program

   • Duration: June 29 – July 12, 2025
   • Focus: Chinese language learning, cultural experiences, and academic lectures.

2. 2025 DUT “Mechanics + AI” Program

   • Duration: June 22 – June 27, 2025
   • Focus: Applications of mechanics and artificial intelligence, laboratory visits, and cultural exploration.

3. Cell Mechanics: Unlocking the Invisible Forces Behind Life

   • Duration: May 25 – June 3, 2025
   • Focus: Cell mechanics, hospital and pharmaceutical industry visits, and discussions on biomedical sciences.

Scholarship and Financial Responsibility

DUT, in collaboration with ITS, will select five successful applicants who will receive a full program fee waiver, covering:

• Tuition and academic activities
• Accommodation (in campus dormitory) during the program

However, selected students must cover their own personal expenses, including but not limited to:

• Round-trip airfare to China
• Visa application fees
• Daily meals and personal expenses
• Travel insurance and other miscellaneous costs

Applicants are encouraged to carefully plan their financial arrangements to ensure participation in the program.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to D4, S1, and S2 ITS students from all academic departments and cohorts.
• Must demonstrate a strong motivation for joining the program.
• Must meet academic and extracurricular involvement criteria, as determined by ITS.

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2. Scanned copy of the passport information page (valid for at least one year from July 1, 2025)
3. Scanned copy of the ITS Student ID
4. Statement Letter (Download from this link – can be submitted after the internal selection process)
5. Motivation Letter (1–2 pages) explaining the reasons for applying and why the applicant should be selected.
6. GCW/GCA stamps or a certificate with a minimum grade of C (IISMA Test GCW is not applicable).

Application and Selection Process

1. Application Submission:

   • Submit all required documents via the online form: https://its.id/studyabroadITS.
   • Compile all documents into a single .zip/.rar file before submission.
   • After submission, send a confirmation email to studyabroad@its.ac.id with the subject:
     “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_DUT_NAME_NRP”

2. Deadline:

   • Application submission deadline: April 22, 2025 (09.00 WIB)

3. Interview Process:

   • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview via Zoom.
   • Interview date: April 24, 2025 (time to be announced).
