[University of Queensland and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Joint PhD Program]

Dear ITS Students,

University of Queensland (UQ) and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) have joined forces to create a joint PhD program that will support PhD scholars to deliver global impact with the awarded Doctor of Philosophy from both UQ and IITD upon successful completion of the program.

Benefits:
– A monthly stipend of Rs 47.000 in year 1 and Rs 52000 in years 3 and 4
– An annual stipend of AUD $33.641 in year 2
– A relocation grant of AUD $5.200 to support Delhi-Brisbane-Delhi travel
– Overseas student health cover (single policy) for stay in Brisbane in year 2

2024 application timeline
Round 1:

  1. Expression of Interest (EOI) open (14 Feb – 17 Mar)
  2. Advisor shortlisting (20 Mar – 15 Apr)
  3. Interviews and exam (11-16 May)
  4. Offers sent (3 June)
  5. Cohort commences (July)

Round 2:

  1. Expression of Interest (EOI) open (5 Sep – 3 Oct)
  2. Advisor shortlisting (8 – 30 Oct)
  3. Interviews and exam (14 – 21 Nov)
  4. Offers sent (9 December)
  5. Cohort commences (Late Dec)
