College of Engineering, National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan, International Internship Program 2024

National Chung Cheng University (CCU) Taiwan would like to inform you that they are currently opening registration of the College of Engineering International Internship Program 2024.  Since 2016, the College of Engineering has been conducting the yearly international internship program and hosted over 260 international students at the CUU campus. Intern students conduct research under the guidance of professors at the College of Engineering, applying the knowledge they have acquired in school to practical experiments. Throughout the process, they learn how to communicate and collaborate with their laboratory peers, while also experiencing different cultures. The program is open for senior bachelor, master, and doctoral students in the engineering field. The internship period is at least 8 weeks, mainly between March 1 and December 31, 2024. Individual mentors may have a different definition of intern period. Please refer to each research topic for precise definitions. In this program, students will have a chance to have experience another culture, do research in a different academic/research environment and pursue your specific research topics by involving international cooperation and collaboration in CCU. 

The program is open for senior bachelor, master, and doctoral students in the engineering field.

Intern Period: March 1 –December 31, 2024 At least 8 weeks. Individual mentors may have a different definition of intern period. For self supported interns, the period may not be limited as mentioned above. Please refer to each research topic for precise definitions.

The program fee is waived. The program fee and registration fee will be provided by CoE.

Please kindly notes that they offer specific topics and the condition for each topic is different. The conditions are related with scholarship, period of internship, etc. There are 2 type of application for this program:

1. Scholarship type: The accepted students in this type will get free accommodation in campus, living expenses (NTD 1500/ week) and travel support fare reimbursement (maximum NTD 10.000)
Note: These are standard items and numbers, and the total amount may be amended by the project mentor based on the program budget and the interns’ performance.

2. Self support type: The accepted students in this type need to cover their own living expenses, round trip flight ticket and accommodation (about NTD 4000 – 5000 for 2 months)

The accepted students (both type) need to cover other expenses also such as airport transfer, visa fees and other personal expenses.

This program is open for ITS students for D4 & S1 (batch 2021), S2 & S3 all batch.

Here the requirement for this program :

1. CV

2. Scanned of Official Academic Transcripts with GPA min 3.0)

3. 1-3 Pages Research Plan (please make sure you mentioned the number of your research choice). Each applicants can choose up to 3 different research topic, However we encourage to each students only to focus at one specific topic

4. Scanned passport information page at least valid minimum one year prior to December 2024

5. Valid English Proficiency Test Score Certificate (original). TOEFL/IELTS/IBT  (You can use EFL) with minimum score 477 / 6.0). EFL from dirpendik is not acceptable

6. One recommendation letter from an academic advisor

7. Certificate of Enrollment

8. Statement Letter (please download from here bit.ly/its-student-exchange )

9. Head-shot Photo in JPG format (at least 300 KB filesize, 826X1062 pixels.)

The incomplete documents will not be processed by study abroad team
