A Semester Exchange to Toyo University, Japan (Fee-Based) Spring 2024

Dear ITS Students,

Toyo University, Japan would like to offer you fee-paying student exchange intake Spring 2024 (start from 10 April – 5 August 2024). The tuition fee for this program is NOT waived (500.0000 JPY). The accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, registration fee (10.000 JPY for fall semester only)  dorms and living expenses in Japan including Roundtrip Flight Ticket, Travel Insurance.

This program only open for ITS Students S1 batch 2021 and S2 batch 2022, 2023 and these students must aware with the travel requirement from Japan Government.

Please kindly note that ITS Students must take and transfer the maximum credit transfer opportunity for S1 and 6 sks for S2 per semester. You need to refer in each semester (1st semester refer to fall, 2nd semester refer to spring)

Insurance
Study abroad students are required by Japanese law to enroll in Japanese National Health Insurance (NHI). The insurance fee is approximately 1,500 JPY per month. With Japanese National Health Insurance, students only have to pay 30% of the medical costs when they go to see doctors. More details about the insurance are provided during orientation sessions to be held upon your arrival. You will apply for NHI during orientation. In addition, we strongly recommend you to make arrangements for voluntary travel insurance in your home country that covers emergencies.

Visa
A visa is issued at a Japanese diplomatic office in your country. It is usually issued within five days of application. You are expected to enter Japan within three months of the issuance of the visa. The visa you will obtain is valid either for one year or 6 months, allowing you to enter Japan multiple times during your stay. ∗ A visa signifies the judgment that a foreigner wishing to enter Japan has been deemed suitable to enter and stay in Japan. Please be aware that a visa does not guarantee the permission of entry (stay), but is deemed as one of the requirements for landing application at the port of entry (airport/seaport). As in many countries, Japan has a system in which a foreigner wishing to enter Japan is required to have permission from immigration offices, i.e. the said Certificate of Eligibility, in addition to a visa.

Breakfast and dinner on weekdays, electricity, water, heat, and internet are included in the housing fee. If you make excessive use of utilities, you may have to pay a separate overuse fee.

Even if you are placed in a single-occupancy bedroom, living, kitchen, bathroom and toilets are shared space. Depending on availability, you may not be assigned the room you want. 1. CV (please make sure that you write clearly full name, birth of date, phone number and email in this CV)
2. Certificate of Enrollment
3. Latest of An Academic Transcript in English version (GPA min 3,00 out of 4,00). For master students (S2) they have to submit their S1 Academic Transcript too.
4. Scanned Passport Information page with validity minimum 1 year from Sept 2022.
5. Valid of English Proficiency CEFR B2 equivalent or higher, such as IELTS with score 5.5-6.5 or TOEFL iBT with score 72-94 or TOEFL ITP min 500 will be accepted (The screenshot score of EFL from UPT Bahasa web, TEFL and TOEFL Prediction are not acceptable)
6. 1 recomendation letter from your lecturer/ academic advisor/supervisor

8. Learning Agreement (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ). Those files must be signed by applicants and the Head/Secretary of Department
9. ITS Students must consult with their parents for the financial aspects and permission to join this program in the middle of pandemic. please kindly provide the statement letter from your parents (in Bahasa) that your parents are support you (all financial & mental) to join this program. (No Format Required)
10. Certificate of GCW Non Degree (minimum C) or Result Test GCW Non Degree min 80 (S2 Applicants can replace it with R2SEP certificate)

The incomplete documents and over deadline applications will not be processed by Mobility Team.

Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_Toyo_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline is on 2 September 2023 ( 23.59 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 4 September 2023.
