Thailand UMAP Micro-Credential (Phase 2)

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) is delighted to introduce the Thailand UMAP Micro Credential program which is aimed to fulfil the needs of learners who seek to upskill and reskill, develop needed specific competencies, or lifelong learning. Each program can be considered equivalent to 1 credit. (any approval of credit transfer is dependent on the student’s home university)

The learners from this side will get a certificate as a transcript to verify the learning outcome they have passed. On this Phase 2, the offered programs are about:

  1. Industrial Web Application with Basic Database
  2. Learn Logistics
  3. Identifying Your Leadership Strengths

Qualifications:

  1. Currently enrolled at UMAP Affiliated University
  2. Approved by the Home University

For ITS Students who are interested in joining this program, here are the details about the program:

1. Micro Credential (MC): Industrial Web Application with Basic Database

  • Competency: Earners are able to create the industrial web-page that includes control data parameters, retrieve and store data with a basic database.
  • Key Method: Earners are able to create a dynamic web-page for any industry including control data parameters with JavaScript (JS), store and retrieve data by applying basic database knowledge including statement of data store and retrieve.

2. Micro Credential (MC): Process abnormality detection with Value Stream Mapping (Lean Logistics)

  • Competency :Earners are able to detect process abnormalities such as a bottleneck or the eight wastes by using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for process improvement.

Note: This is the first micro-credential in Lean logistics stack. It is encouraged that the micro-credentials in this stack are earned in sequence as each skill builds on the previous one in the stack.

  • Key Method: The earners are able to map a series of steps (e.g., a process) to provide the product(s) or service(s) according to customer requests and demands (e.g. a value stream) and to determine process abnormalities.

3. Micro Credential (MC): Identifying Your Leadership Strengths

  • Competency: Earners identify and reflect their leadership strengths.
  • Key Method: Earners deepen their understanding of their leadership strengths and identify their leadership strengths by self-assessing.

Important Dates:

Application Deadline: 15 July 2022 at 1:00 pm. (GMT+7, Bangkok, Thailand)

Deadline for Endorsement by Home University / Institute: 22 July 2022 at 1:00 pm. (GMT+7, Bangkok, Thailand

Deadline to confirm participation (For applicant): 23 July 2022 at 1:00 PM. (GMT+7)

Notification of application result: End of July 2022

Online Orientation: First week of August 2022

Start: August 2022

(First Round) Submit collected evidence: 15 October 2022

(Second Round) Submit collected evidence: 4 weeks after knowing result of the first submission.

End: December 2022
