University Malaysia Pahang would like to invite you to join our FREE WEBINAR on May 27th, 2021, Thursday, 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM (GMT +08 Kuala Lumpur) with inspiring and accomplished professionals. They will share their insights on two interesting topics:

 

Topic 1 :

U.S./Ugandan Air Quality Embassy Science Fellowship Project (Speaker: Dr Sala N. Senkayi, Acting Regional Quality Assurance Manager U.S. EPA – Region 6)

Profile Speaker 1:

Dr. Sala Senkayi works as an Environmental Scientist and acting Regional Quality Assurance Manager (RQAM) with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 in Dallas, Texas. She is the first Ugandan-born American female environmentalist to win the top US-Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), awarded by Former President Barak Obama. Dr. Senkayi holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University, two BS in Microbiology and Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an MS and a Ph.D. in Environmental and Earth Sciences from the same university.

 

Topic 2:

Climate Change & International Environmental Law (Speaker: Dr Nadia Plata, Director of the Climate Show, Switzerland)

Profile Speaker 2:

Dr Nadia Plata has a dual education in chemistry and in Swiss and international environmental law. She has a wide experience in technical science and entrepreneurship. Nadia is married and has two children. She is passionate about sports, playing chess, movie making, and hiking.

 

This webinar will be moderated by Dr Mohammad Adam Adman, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang.
