A Semester Exchange Program at NSYSU Spring Semester 2021

National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for Intake Spring 2021 is already opened. The duration of the program is late February – late June The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, accommodations and living expenses in Taiwan including Roundtrip Flight Ticket, visa fees & Insurance.

Semester Period: Late-February – Late-June

Midterm: Mid-April

Final: Late-June

Off-campus Housing

Xiwan Student House &  Rental Formosa Rent House

All students must take a medical examination before arrival. One-semester students are required to complete the Health Certificate Form C and a copy of the report must be submitted upon registration. One-year students are required to complete the Health Certificate Form B in order to apply for a Resident Visa to enter Taiwan.

Cost 

On-Campus Housing:

International Dorm (Twin Room) – NT$17,000 per semester , Local Dorm (Quad Room) – NT$8,500 per semester, Off-Campus Housing: NT5,000 – 10,000 per month

Meals: NT$8,000-9,000 per month , Books: NT$5,000 per semester, Local Transportation: NT$1,500 per month, Health Insurance: NT$326 per semester (NSYSU Student Group Insurance) , Campus Wi-fi & Internet Service: NT$300 per semester, National Health Insurance: NT$749 per month (obligated to join for students who continuously staying in Taiwan for 6 months)

Estimated cost per month: 270USD – 350USD
Note: The estimation is the average spending of a typical student attending NSYSU.
Additional Fees to Pay International Dorm : Winter dormitory fee: NT$4,300 / Summer dormitory fee: NT$8,600 Local Dorm : Winter dormitory fee: NT$2,100 / Summer dormitory fee: NT$4,300 Fees are subject to change.

This program open for ITS students with criteria below :

– D4/S1 batch 2019, 2018 & 2017

– S2 batch 2019 & 2020

– Have a good english ( oral & written )

1. CV
2. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages)
3. Learning Agreement (Download it here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ). Please kindly fill department coordinator with the signature head of department/coordinator academic at your department. Please leave it blank at Institutional Coordinator (it will be done by ITS GE)
4. Official Academic Transcript in English version
5. A Valid English Proficiency English Test (You can use TOEFL/EFL with minimum Score is 477 or IBT/IELTS who equal with TOEFL 477)
6. One recommendation letter from an academic advisor
7. Scanned Valid Passport (validity minimum 1 year)

The incomplete application will not processed by Study Abroad Team.
