KPI Mapping and THE Ranking Breakthrough Strategies in WCU Workshop session 4

World Class University (WCU) Workshop series continued to session 4, which was held on 13 July 2020. This fourth session brought up the topic ‘KPI Mapping and THE Ranking Breakthrough Strategies.’ This meeting was opened with a moment of silence that was led by Cahyani Satiya Pratiwi, S.S. The moment of silence was held for a tribute to Prof. Mahmud Zaki, M.Sc., who has passed away that morning. The moment of silence closed with a touching eulogy which was given by Kriyo Sambodo. He stated how massive Prof. Mahmud’s efforts and impacts for internationalization in ITS. Thank you, Prof. Mahmud Zaki, may he rest in peace.

Even though the circumstance was still in sorrow, the session moved to the presentation by   Rulli Pratiwi Setiawan, Ph.D. as Senior Manager of ITS Global Engagement, specifically mapped the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) ahd presented strategies to improve ITS rankings in the THE Ranking.

 

Rulli Pratiwi Setiawan started the presentation by showing ITS rankings in the THE World University Ranking (WUR) and Asia University Ranking (AUR) and stated the difference of QS WUR Ranking’s criteria and THE WUR Ranking’s criteria. She emphasized how important reputation survey’s impact to THE Ranking. In the end of the presentation, she explained several Professor Inboud Mobility programs in ITS such as Global Learning Program (GLP) for ITS IUP students, Guest Lecture Series (GLS), International Expert Session (IES), and Researcher and Research Student Enrichment Program  that encourage all ITS elements to deepen their knowledge especially through internationalization by collaborating with universities abroad.

The fourth session of the WCU workshop was then continued with a question and answer session which was followed enthusiastically by the workshop participants. Finally, the workshop was closed with a photo session with all workshop participants.
