From Students to Students Goes Online known as FS2 Goes Online is one of the programs held by ITS Global Engagement. However, during the pandemic time, FS2 was conducted online through Instagram Live @itsinternationaloffice. There are three session with a different theme and speakers.
Wednesday, 6 May 2020 at 13.00 WIB, ITS Global Engagement held the first session of FS2 Goes Online on @itsinternationaloffice Instagram. On this opportunity, we invited two excellent speakers, Ms. Raudiah Hawin Ayani (DD Master Program at NCKU Taiwan, Master Degree in Geomatics Engineering at ITS Surabaya) and Mr. Pandu Luhur Pambudi – DD Master Program at NCKU Taiwan, Master Degree in Information System at ITS Surabaya) to share their experiences during a dual degree in their department.
This session was attended by a total of 25 participants. During the open session, the participants were quite enthusiastic, and some questions were asked. Just by the fact that they were sharing their dual degree experiences is the most memorable thing of this event since a lot of students had no idea about this topic.
The second session of FS2 Goes Online was held on Wednesday, 13 May 2020 at 15.00 WIB with the theme “Sharing Session about Student Exchange Experiences” collaborated with Ms. Kamila Zahranisa (Student Exchange at Chung Ang University, South Korea intake Spring Semester 2020) and Mr. Mohammad Rizqi Firjatullah Ridwan – (Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility at the Bialystok University of Technology (BUT), Poland intake Spring Semester 2020) as our speakers.
This session aims to share general information about student exchange and the topic was about our speaker’s experiences during a student exchange in South Korea and Poland. Both Kamila and Eqi shared their exchange experiences during this pandemic. They shared about the online classes and online applications that are being used to support e-learning during the pandemic.
The number of participants attended on the session were fluctuated but the total was 34 people and the recorded video of Instagram Live has been saved on @itsinternationaloffice IGTV by 13 May 2020 and has been watched up to 1741 people. During the open session, the participants were quite enthusiastic, and some questions were asked on announcement open session post and during Instagram Live.
The third session was held on Wednesday, 20 May 2020 with the theme “Sharing Session about Study and Work at Overseas with ITS Alumni” collaborated with Ms. Anti Bunga Rizkiah as PSCM Analyst BP Denver, USA.
This session aims to share general information about studying and working experience abroad. Our speaker, Ms. Bunga, shared her inspiring story on how she didn’t have to pay any fee for her education since she was in high school until she graduated from the MBA Program University of Colorado Boulder, USA.
The number of participants attended on the session were fluctuated but the total was 30 people and the recorded video of Instagram Live has been saved on @itsinternationaloffice IGTV by 20 May 2020 and has been watched up to 1176 people. During the open session, the participants were quite enthusiastic, and some questions were asked on announcement open session post and during Instagram Live.
From FS2 Goes Online through Instagram Live, we hope that ITS students can fully understand the dual degree program so that they will have the interest to apply. We also expect that ITS students can be more pro-active in applying study abroad programs since they already have an idea of what they need to prepare and we hope that this session can motivate themselves to reach their goals.
