We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion of Thailand (DEQP) will host and organise the ASEAN Plus Three Youth Environment Forum (AYEF) 2019: Clean up Our Sea, Change Our Future from 8 – 13 September 2019 in Phuket, Thailand. The forum aims to raise awareness and encourage youths in ASEAN and Plus Three Countries to protect the environment. his year’s AYEF will provide opportunities for youths in ASEAN and Plus Three Countries to enhance their awareness on marine debris issue and its impacts, as well as increase their knowledge and skills in relation to marine conservation management.
Selection Criteria
o Aged Between 19-25 years olf
o Possess leadership qualities
o University/higher education students
o Actively involved in environment-related activities or projects in respective countries
o Have a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months on the travelling date
o Possess good command of English and able to participate actively in discussions and deliver presentation in English
o Have knowledge and interest in environmental issues
Selection Mechanism: Five (5) youth participants from each ASEAN Member State will be selected by the National Focal Points of the ASEAN Working Group on Environmental Education (AWGEE) based on the above-mentioned criteria. Successful candidates will be notified via registered email by the Organizer.
