Dear ITS Students,

Kumamoto University Short-Term Exchange Program Intake April 2019 is calling for participants. For everyone who is in their third year and interested in the Japanese language, Japanese and Asian society and culture, advanced science and technology, and interactions with international students are highly recommended to participate. 

JASSO scholarship is not available

The documents required ( * Please prepare all documents in A4 size in Japanese or in English. Do not use stapler)

  1. 03 Application Form (Undergraduate)
  2. 04 Application Form for COE
  3. Application for Applying to Rent a Room at the International House (05 Application Form for IH )
  4. Certificate of Enrollment 
  5. Academic record (Official home university transcript)
  6. Letter of Recommendation
  7. Health Certificate 06 Health Certificate
  8. Certificate of Financial Support (certificate of bank account balance, certificate of income, etc.)
  9. Four photographs (40mm x 30mm)
  10. Copy of the first page of applicant's passport (with validity minimum 1 year)
  11. Required Documents related to Language Proficiency.  
  • E-Course applicants: TOEFL score for non-native English speakers or Certificate of English Ability equivalent to TOEFL iBT score of 61 or more to be issued by the home university.
  •  J-Course applicants: Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Certificate of Result and Scores of level N3 or more, Certificate of Japanese Ability equivalent to N3 or more to be issued by the home university

Please kindly note that this progam open for ITS students (S1) minimum batch 2016. 

The deadline for registration is 26 November 2018 and please submit the application to KU Liaison Office at ITS:
