School of Computer Science and Engineering Pusan National University, Korea is calling for six dedicated applicants of Master/PhD Students.
Smart Factory laboratory is an Industrial-driven lab within Pusan National University, Korea now seeks for an MS/PhD Candidates. It has been named as a national Grand ICT R&D center by Ministry of Science and ICT in Korea since May 2016. It has very strong focus on Industry-academia collaboration with small and medium size enterprises. It is situated in Grand ICT Center, Centum City which is the very heart of the Industrial complex in Busan, Korea. Hence, providing a great opportunity for every researcher to expand his/her real world expertises.
Smart Factory laboratory are jointly managed by three Pusan National University Professors: Prof Sanghwa Chung, Ph.D. Prof. JongDeok Kim, Ph.D, and Prof. Giltae Song, Ph.D. In the first year, an MS/PhD candidate will be jointly supervised by three professors and in the second year a professor will be designated as the main supervisor. Monthly salary will be supported by Grand ICT Center and possibly extra support from an advisor (if a TA or RA position is obtained)
Research Areas: Internet of Things (Intelligent Networking and Embedded Systems) Artificial Intelligence (Data Mining and Machine Learning) IoT platform and devices Big Data Management / Analysis / Processing Methodology
Requirements: a. Having graduated or finished undergraduate/master thesis by March 2018 b. Has Bachelor / master background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or any related disciplines b. Good English Communication and writing skills c. Having a good programming skill d. Able to work in a team
