Day 1 – CommTECH Camp Insight 2018

TANGGA REKTORAT

The big day has arrived, today was the opening day of the wonderful CommTECH Camp Insight 2018. The total of 73 participants from 19 different countries were welcomed by the ITS Vice Rector of Research, Innovation, and Partnership, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ketut Buda Artana, S.T., M.Sc., ITS lecturers & staffs, and also the whole family of ITS International Office. The welcoming ceremony was livened by the Bang Bang Wetan Dance presented by Traditional Dance and Karawitan Student Club. The performance was beautifully delivered before the formal welcome from at ITS Rectorate building's main meeting room. Lastly, it was completed by the introduction of the program and the committee introduction by Dr. Maria Anityasari, S.T., M.E.

CommTECH Camp Insight 2018 raising a concept of 14 day program with Project-based Learning method. The result of the project will be presented in the exhibition, which will be held at ITS Library on 5 February 2018.

MOLINA ITS

After officially welcomed by Prof. Ketut, the participants were given various kinds of Indonesian typical foods before proceeding with campus tour activity. On this agenda, participants were invited to get around to explore some of the various places and facilities of ITS. They went to ITS library, to some of the departments in ITS.

 BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Participants started the tour visiting ITS Library. The six-level building offered various interesting spots from Indonesia's National Standard corner in cinema-like audio-visual room. The tour continued to the Chemistry Department, which brought participants to research labs in the department. Computer Engineering Department came next, showing their latest researches such as VR games and 3D projector. Later on, participants also visit Biomedical Engineering whose also shows the latest research of medical equipment for doctor uses. The tour ended with visitation to Molina (Mobil Listrik Nasional), which is a place for an electric-powered car development project by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia.

SOTO AYAM LAMONGAN - CAK HAR

Wrapping up the amazing day, participants were having a great dinner at "Soto Ayam Lamongan" at Cak Har Restaurant. We are looking forward to have another 13 days of cheerfulness and excitement.
