[Conference] Ethnobotany in the Quran and Hadith at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam

Dear ITS Students,

Universiti Brunei Darussalam warmly invite you to join their "Ethnobotany in the Quran and Hadith – An Exploration" Conference from 22 to 25 January 2018 in Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

The objective of this conference is to provide scientific perspective on the plants mentioned in the Quran and Hadith in the context of today’s finding in relations to the diversity of its uses and applications in traditional and contemporary medicine.

There are 13 conference themes,

  1. Role of Islamic Botanical Garden,
  2. Cultural and Spiritual aspects of plants in the Quran & Hadith,
  3. Plants in holy scriptures,
  4. Tropical plants in the Quran
  5. Current research and advances in traditional medicinal plant research,
  6. Prophetic medicine and therapy.
  7. Environmental and conservation values and scientific activities of Quranic Botanic Garden,
  8. Enterprising the herbal industry: An avenue for commercialization,
  9. Business models and the herbal industry: Developing medicines and recipes,
  10. Ethnobotany and Religion: Issues and potential,
  11. Ethnobotany and Economic botany,
  12. Ethnobotany and Culture, and
  13. Historical uses of plants.
