Magang Ormawa (Student Organization Internship Program) 2016

Brace yourself, the registration for Magang Ormawa 2016 has been opened!

For ITS students year 2013, 2014, and 2015 who dare to take the challenge to feel real experience of global community, register yourself now and be the delegation of Magang Ormawa 2016 in Thailand.

What is Magang Ormawa?

As AEC has begun, ITS planning on increasing the mobility of ITS students to ASEAN countries. So that they could have experience of international exposure and learn about global culture. ITS Student Organization Internship Program was first initiated in 2015 by ITS International Office. This program was arranged to give the opportunity for ITS student to have international experience through internship program. Through this program, ITS students was also expected to have connection with other student organization in ASEAN Universities. The program is not only aimed to give the experience but also global insights for ITS student through direct learning and interaction with international environment. So that, they could understand how to organize organization (association, and club/union) in the international level.

This year there would be about 20 – 25 ITS students who would be selected as an intern to have internship in student organization at Thailand Universities. There are full scholarship, half scholarship, and partial scholarship available for this program, and would be granted to the awardee based on their performance during the selection process. And those selected participants must commit to implement the knowledge and share the experiance they get from this program and give big impact to their orign of student organization, also maintain the sustainability of the program and the good relation created between ITS and host universities.

What are the objectives of this program?

Magang Ormawa 2016 is aimed to improve ITS students skills in communication and networking, especially with Thailand Universities. The main purpose of this program are :

1. To develop student’s professional ethic in term of working in a team
   Personal skills and proficiency which contribute to a successful working environment and to improve the quality of the student union, including discipline, task management and work efficiency, attitude in the workplace, etc.
2. To develop student’s soft skills and global competences
   The ability to develop the endurance, flexibility, discipline, and to be adaptive as the response to global challenge. Also includes the ability to work with people from different nationalities and backgrounds.
3. To enhance student’s creativity and innovation
   The ability to be more creative and innovative programs in each participant’s own field of competency, e.g. Student who work under department student organization develops new perspective to solve present problems creatively.
4. To strengthen the relationship of both parties
   Through this internship program, we hope that ITS students not only having new experiences but also maintaining good relationship between ITS students and host university’s students, for instance, they could have cooperation in holding an event, etc. Thus the sustainability of this program could be maintain afterwards. 

​How could I apply for this program?

For those who want to apply, please make sure to complete these requirements below:

1.   Active student at ITS year 2013, 2014, and 2015
2.   Currently active in student organization at ITS especially for students year 2013 and 2014
3.   Fill online form at bit.ly/MagangOrmawaITS2016
4.   Attach required documents as follows:
   • CV*
   • Academic transcript in bahasa (GPA min. 2.75)
   • TOEFL/TEFL certificate (min. score 477)
   • Motivation letter in english  (explanation about things that you want to achieve in this program min.500 words)
   • Commitment letter* 
   • Recommendation letter (For delegations from student organization).
     For students year 2013 and 2014 who don't have the recommendation letter, please prepare a statement letter from your organization signed by the head of the student organization itself which is stating that your are the member of the organization (both in bahasa)
   • If you have joined LKMM TD, please add statement letter from your organization that you have joined LKMM TD.
     For students year 2015 who haven't taken LKMM TD yet, please make a statement letter (signed by you yourself) which is stating that you are willing to contribute in a student organization in the near future. (both in Bahasa)

     • All required documents should be printed and scanned to be attached on the registration form, except for CV could be exported as .pdf format.
     • All reqired documents should be uploaded in .pdf format.
