The U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce a special opportunity for emerging civil society leaders to participate in a 9-18 month professional fellowship in the United States.  All Fellows will be placed at a leading social change organization in the United States. Atlas Corps has supported over 350 emerging leaders from over 72 different countries and seeks candidates to apply as soon as possible for their next class of Fellows.

Atlas Corps seeks nonprofit leaders from around the world to apply for Fellowships in the U.S. and Latin America. Atlas Corps engages leaders committed to the nonprofit sector in 6-18 month, professional fellowships at organizations to learn best practices, build organizational capacity, and return home to create a network of global leaders. This prestigious fellowship includes a living stipend to cover basic expenses (food, local transportation, and shared housing) and health insurance. Applications are accepted year-round, but to be considered for the May class, we encourage applications by November 8. PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:
–   Eligible candidates are civil society emerging leaders and professionals with two or more years of relevant experience in the nonprofit/NGO/social sector
–   a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and English proficiency (oral, writing, reading).  
–   Candidates must be 35 years or younger and commit to return to their home country at the end of the fellowship.  
–   Ideal candidates are emerging leaders who are passionate about the social causes they support, have a record of success, and demonstrate the potential for great and long-term impact in the social sector of their country.

Atlas Corps will evaluate applicants during the initial review.  Participants will be selected based on professional qualification, experience, leadership potential and commitment to enhancing mutual understanding between the people of their country and the U.S. plus any additional criteria established by Atlas Corps.
