Community and Technological Camp (CommTECH) Insight 2016

Continuing the success of 2012 to 2015 Community and Technological Camp (CommTECH), ITS International Office is again holding CommTECH Insight  2016 with couple new innovations. This time, CommTECH Camp Insight that will be held on 25 January – 3 February 2016 will offer  2 credit for participants who want to have transferable credit while enjoying the insightful program. Not only that, the coming CommTECH will provide more opportunity for participants to have more interactive engagement with society that may lead to further project after the program.  However, we are closing for full scholarship application now. You may apply for %0% or half scholarship.

More about CommTECH:

CommTECH  is an opportunity for university students, academics, and professionals from all over the world to learn about community and global issues through a variety of insightful but fun activities. The program includes courses, visit and discussion with government and non-government agencies, society engagement, Indonesian Language course, learning traditional music and dances,  making your own batik, visit to main touris destinations, and for sure tasting delicious Indonesian food. The aim of the program is to facilitate a broad opportunity to better understand ITS's expertises and technology implementation in the society while visiting, discovering, and experiencing Indonesia's diverse heritage and culture. It will also open up an opportunity to exchange ideas and develop a mutual vision for the future of our community.

The theme of the program is “Solving Local Problems with Global Knowledge”.  Our organizing committee has been working hard to make these program a truly memorable experience for all participants. The brochure and registration form are attached here for your perusal.

For CommTECH Camp Insight 2016, we offer 3 courses

Sub Course A : Community-based- Sanitation in Urban & Rural Areas

Sub Course B : Sustainable Development in Developing Countries

Sub Course C : Emerging IT in Society

Only active lecturers, non-academic staffs & active bachelor, master & doctoral students from any background are eligible for this program.

The fees of this program is USD 1,600. The fees will cover accommodation, local transportation, tuition fee, workshop materials, seminar kits, scheduled meals, Trip to Bromo Mountain, Rafting, airport pick up & drop off services, and vouchers, The participants must be responsible with their roundtrip flight ticket, visa & travel insurance. 

We offer full scholarship, 50% scholarship (pay only USD 800) & partial scholarship (pay only USD 1,000) for limited participants.  Please register early to secure your participation in this awesome program.

The registration will be opened from 1 October 2015 until 3 January  2016.

–          Scanned Passport

–          One recommendation letter from your university

–          Scanned students/staffs/lecturers I.D or statement letter that you are staff or lecturers from your university

The participants of previous CommTECH and Indonesian Students/Staffs are not allowed to apply to CommTECH Camp Insight 2016.
