myITS-WiFi-IOT is a hidden SSID that uses MAC authentication, intended for wireless Internet of Things (IoT) devices within the campus environment. This network is specifically designed to allow IoT devices to connect stably without requiring repeated authentication, as is typically needed on standard Wi-Fi networks.
IoT Device MAC Address Registration
1. Please access the link its.id/itswifi (myITS WiFi), then select myITS-WiFi-IOT.
2. To add a device, users must use an OTP code, which can be obtained by clicking Register OTP, then scanning the QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator application on the user’s mobile phone.
3. After that, select the [its-myits-network-service] account to view the OTP code.
4. Next, click Add Device on the myITS WiFi website.
5. Enter the MAC address, Authenticator OTP, and description. Make sure the information is correct, then click Register.
Connecting to myITS-WiFi-IoT
1. Since myITS-WiFi-IoT is a hidden SSID, the network must be connected by manually entering the SSID name.
2. Enter the SSID “myits-wifi-iot” (lowercase) and the myITS-WiFi-IoT password, which can be obtained by contacting DPTSI.
3. Use the security mode WPA/WPA2-PSK (AES).
4. Select Auto for the IP address setting.
