COLLECTIBLE NUSANTARA MYTH CREATURE CINDAKU TOYS ORIGINATED FROM JAMBI TO CONSERVE INDONESIA HERITAGE USING RESIN ART TOYS MEDIA

Background

This research aims to design collectible toys based on the mythological creature Cindaku from Jambi, using resin art toys as a tool to preserve Indonesian culture. The mythological creature Cindaku holds strong historical and symbolic value in Jambi’s culture, but it is endangered due to a lack of awareness and appreciation for this cultural heritage. In this study, we will apply resin art toys design and production techniques to create toys that aesthetically visualize the characteristics of the mythological creature Cindaku. Additionally, we will examine the impact of using resin art toys as a medium on the durability and longevity of the toys, as well as assess the public’s response to the resulting products. It is expected that the findings of this research will contribute positively to the preservation of Indonesian culture through engaging and artistically valuable collectible toys.
