Proposing a Biofilter Idea from Crustacean Shell Waste, ITS Engineering Physics Student Wins BIZMART 7.0

Another proud achievement has been made by a student of the Department of Engineering Physics, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). M. Arsyanta Rasyad Bahar won first place in the Business Plan Competition X BIZMART 7.0 in the student category, entrepreneurship field.

In this competition, Arsyanta presented a business idea entitled CRABS (Circular Recovery Adsorbent for Bilge-water Sustainability): Bio-filter Berbasis Kitosan Limbah Cangkang Krustasea. The idea proposes the use of chitosan derived from crustacean shell waste as a biofilter material.

For his victory, Arsyanta received a trophy and a certificate of achievement as the first-place winner.

The Department of Engineering Physics ITS congratulates him on this remarkable achievement. Hopefully, Arsyanta’s accomplishment will inspire others to keep innovating, creating, and delivering sustainable solutions for the future.
