Collaboration between ITS – Unair Launches RAISA, Service Robot for Covid-19 Patients

 

In order to minimize the contact between the medical personnel with Covid-19 patients and reduce the use of personal protective equipment (APD), ITS collaborated with Airlangga University to officially launched a Robot Medical Assistant ITS-Airlangga (RAISA). The servant robot for Covid-19 patients was also handed over to the Airlangga University Hospital (RSUA) at ITS Robotics Center Building.

Focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Health, ITS Inaugurated PUI-AIHeS

 

ITS is increasingly showing its focus in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and health. ITS proved that by the online inauguration of the Pusat Unggulan IPTEK – Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare and Society (PUI-AIHeS). Although it’s still new, ITS targeted PUI-AIHeS to immediately meet the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Commercial Readiness Level (CRL).

Covid-19 Monitoring Application by ITS Lecturer Teams Received by IEEE SIGHT Special Covid-19 Projects

 

The Lecturer Team of ITS in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (IEEE SIGHT) developed a mobile version of the application for monitoring of Covid-19 patients. This collaboration is also a follow up collaboration between ITS and the East Java Provincial Health Office to develop the web application for TracingCovid19.jatimprov.go.id.

ITS Distributes 33.000 Face Shields to 13 Provinces in Indonesia

 

The occurrence of Covid-19, caused the sharp increase in the demand for Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical activities. ITS successfully produced more than 70 thousand face shields, in which the 33.000 of it have been administered to 13 provinces in Indonesia. Head of the Integrated Digital Design Laboratory of the ITS Product Design Department, Mr. Djoko Kuswanto, S.T., revealed that the top priority recipients for the distribution of face shield are community health centers or hospitals, both government-owned or private enterprises, that have been designated as referred hospitals for Covid-19.

KKNT ITS Educates the Implementation of Health Protocols

 

The new normal era requires people to adhere to the health protocols in prevention of COVID-19. Supporting this, the 21st Thematic Student Study Service of ITS committed in giving education and raising awareness to students of SDN Guntur, Cirebon City, about the implementation of health protocols through online seminars.

ITS Conduct Charity Project to Communities Around ITS Campus

 

In the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, ITS continues to play an active role in helping the community. This time, ITS Disaster Response team’s together with the Regional Potential Study and Community Empowerment Center (PDPM) in distributing aid to the community around the campus. The aid was precisely aimed at residents in RT 03 RW 03, specifically the Gebang Putih Village, Surabaya. The aid given was in the form of 53 food packages and 100 face masks.

ITS Surabaya has several sports facilities and shares the facilities with the local community, for instance with local schools or with the general public. Some of the facilities are shared with free access and some others are shared with charged access. Some of the sport facilities provided are football filed, futsal court, tennis court, badminton, basketball court, etc.

Medical Center ITS

 

As a higher education institution, ITS Surabaya provides students access to sexual and reproductive health-care services including information and education services that is available at ITS medical center. The socialization of health-care education is also held by the students’ unions to raise awareness about health-care issues for the campus community.

 

Health Care 2019

 

Health Care Center is carried out in the Department of Business Statistics to monitor the physical health condition of the academic community in the Department of Business Statistics. The Health Care Center is one of the work programs of Student Welfare Department in collaboration with PMI, aimed at raising awareness and importance about healthy lifestyles.

ITS Medical Center provides health services as the manifestation of ITS concern to the health of students, lecturers, employees and families and communities around the campus. ITS Medical Center established since 2006 and currently has seven services including consultation service of psychological support.

 

ITS Career and Student Entrepreneurship Center Provides Psychological Services

 

ITS Career and Student Entrepreneurship Center continues to improve the quality of services in order to achieve the stated vision and mission. One of the things that is being carried out is improving the quality of information and communication systems for the application of industrial partnership, service information, tracking graduates to the implementation of ITS career exchanges. The development program that was also carried out was improving the quality and system of internships, guest lectures, and derivatives. Various psychological services are also continuously improved based on the results of the survey needs for both students and prospective graduates.

 

ITS Medical Center Provides Free Psychological Consultation Services 

 

Easy, convenient and free is the motto of Psychological Consultation Services provided at ITS Medical Center. For ITS students, the registration only need their Student Identity Card. The psychologist who handles this service is professional and friendly in the consultation session. Moreover, confidentiality about the identity of visitors will also be fully guaranteed.

ITS has a “smoke-free policy”. Policy related to smoking prohibition in the campus environment is also written in Rector’s Regulation No. 15 of 2019 concerning the Student Code of Ethics, specifically in Chapter XIV (Prohibition) item M (page 7).

 

Regulation of Local Government of Surabaya No. 2 of 2019 Concerning No-Smoking Areas and a Fine of IDR 250,000 for Smokers in Campus
