ITS as a reputable academic institution addresses its consideration for a quality education by providing sholarships, namely: Indonesian Smart College Card (KIP-K) scholarship, Improving Academic Achievement (PPA) scholarship, Bank Indonesia scholarship, Van Deventer-Maas Stichting scholarship, Indonesia Leadership Foundation scholarship, Mindo Campus scholarship, ITS Fast Track scholarship, Djarum Plus scholarship, DataPrint scholarship, XL Future Leaders Scholarship, and Ministry of Communication and Information scholarship. All of them covers all level of study degrees with a total of 5,000 prospective students.

ITS in Collaboration with Government Provides Scholarship for Graduate Students

 

ITS as a university with a vision for the World Class University (WCU), has prepared its education strategy in the international scene through scholarship cooperation with the Directorate General of Higher Education (Directorate General of Education) and The Institute of Education Fund Management (LPDP). The strategy in seeking scholarship funding for this postgraduate program is explained in a webinar titled Synergy LPDP and The Directorate General of National Education of International Reputable, Wednesday (26/8).

Affirmation Scholarship at ITS

Collaboration between ITS and the Government of Surabaya to break the Chains of Poverty

 

ITS has a collaboration with the Surabaya City Government and decide to have initial program on a scholarship program to break the poverty chain. Beside that Surabaya City government and ITS have discussion with the representative from companies in Surabaya. In the discussion with representative of the companies in Surabaya, ITS hope that the companies also can accept the graduates of the scholarship program from Surabaya City Government.

Scholarships for Underprivileged Students at ITS

 

ITS as a state university is entrusted by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to provide Bidikmisi scholarships to its students. More than 1000 ITS students are recipients of Bidikmisi scholarships.

ITS to Provide Tuition Waiver Program during Pandemic

 

As the spread of Corona virus in Indonesia, it has a big impact to all people. It also effect the economy of the student at ITS. ITS has committed to help the low student by giving the Tuition Waiver Program during the pandemic in 2020. Based on that ITS provide the Regulation of ITS Rector number T/2312/IT2/HK.OO.O1/2020 stated that Students who are accepted in 2020/2021 are Tuition Waiver Program the form of installments based on application.

ITS in Collaboration with the Government Provides Dormitory for ITS Students

 

To improve services to students, ITS inaugurated a new dormitory building unit in the form of rental flats. The building of the student flats is one part of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) and ITS work program. The program is open for students or worker at ITS. The program is specially dedicated for students who are from low-income family, especially Bidikmisi students.

Subsidy of Internet Data for ITS Students

 

During the pandemic all physical activity is strictly limited. This does not mean that teaching and learning activities are limited. During the pandemic almost all activities are online During the COVID-19 pandemic, ITS provided some financing assistance to students in online learning at my.its.ac.id, classroom.its.ac.id, share.its.ac.id, and Online Meeting Applications (Zoom).

Developing Countries Partnership Program on Scholarship (KNB Scholarship)

 

Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship, popularly known as KNB Scholarship, is a financial assistance offered by the Indonesian Government to prospective international students coming from developing countries to pursue their master’s degree in one of Indonesian universities. The scholarship was conceived in the 10th Conference of Heads of States of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries, 1 –6 September 1992. The Government of Republic of Indonesia began to offer the scholarship to potential students from NAM member countries in the following year.

KNB Report 2020 at ITS

 

ITS has been a recipient university for the Developing Country Partnership (KN) scholarship program since 2008. Since then ITS has been trying to develop activities, both academic and non-academic activities to support the learning process of KNB students. Including the sharing of obstacles along with the rules from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The abundance of high quality natural resources in Wonosalam Subdistrict, Jombang requires optimal management in order to get maximum results. This inspired the Community Service Team (Abmas) lecturers and students of ITS to conduct training in natural resource management and marketing of Wonosalam’s specialty products to the wider community.

ITS Educate SMES in Waste Treatment

 

Referring to the Tri Dharma of College, ITS step by step continues to be embodied in devoting itself to the community. Among them is done by the Department of Chemical Engineering, which provides actors micro, small and medium enterprises (SMES) to cultivate waste of coconut water into organic fertilizer.

ITS Creates Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Moisture and Temperature Automation Tool

 

Cultivating oyster mushrooms requires certain ecosystem conditions that are quite difficult to maintain optimally. However, this is no longer a problem, because lecturer of ITS Dr. Lila Yuwana S.Si. M.Si. with his team in community service (Abmas) and Student Community Service (KKN) created a system design for the automation of moisture and temperature cultivation of oyster mushrooms.

ITS Educates the Entrepreneurs to Develop Start-up

 

In the current era of rapid technological development, more and more startups are emerging by moving and innovating in various fields. In line with this, ITS through the Directorate of Innovation and Science Technology Area (DIKST) ITS held a Startup Valuation Webinar that discussed the business development cycle. During the webinar, the participants learn about 6 step to develope Start-Up .There are 6 steps in developing for Start-up as follows The first stage is the establishment process, The second stage is to feel the loss. The next third stage is the Break Even Point (BEP). The fourth stage is a business that has already made a profit or profit. The sixth stage is to scale up or expand at a cost of five times the profit owned, because it is expected that there will be a rapid increase in business

ITS Introduces Santri-Based Community Welfare Improvement Program

 

Since its presence in 1977, the existence of Indonesian Islamic boarding schools is considered to have increased significantly. Considering the important role of Islamic boarding schools in the welfare of society, ITS introduced the One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) Program. In the discussion entitled Green Economics Building Competitiveness Based on Energy and Environmentally Friendly Industries in East Java Province, ITS collaborated with the Secretary of OPOP. With the OPOP Program, it can develop the potential of pesantren in East Java in terms of entrepreneurship and the economy of the community in the area

ITS Lecturers Introduce Business Models for Marine Tourism Development

 

The natural potential in the Pasir Putih Tourism area (WPP) of Dalegan Village, Gresik Regency, certainly requires an optimal marketing strategy to achieve maximum results. For this reason, one of ITS Community Service team, which involved lecturers and students, is trying to introduce a business model to develop marine tourism in the area.

ITS Students Educates Covid-19 to Ngajuk’s Community

 

The Covid-19 pandemic do not hinder the enthusiasm of ITS students to spread benefits to others. One of them came from 12 students who were members of the Covid-19 ITS 03 Thematic Real Work Lecture Group (KKNT) who are aggressively providing education related to Covid-19 to the people of Nganjuk Regency.

Environmental Engineering Student Association at ITS Educates and Improves the Sanitation in the Village

 

The obligation to carry out the tri dharma of higher education seems to have been well understood by the students of ITS. This is evidenced by the community service carried out by the ITS Environmental Engineering Student Association (HMTL). Not only providing education, they also implement their knowledge to improve sanitation in their fostered villages.

It is necessary to issue a Rector’s Decree regarding the determination of Card Education Fee Assistance Recipient Smart Indonesia (KIP) Lecture Stage 2020.
