The Directorate of Innovation and Science Techno Park (DIKST) is mandated to manage and foster research and development activities for innovative products that have achieved Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 6 to 9. By inspiring and encouraging reasearch activities that lead to the emergence of innovative products, it will improve the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) in the Indonesian product market and foster collaboration between educational and research institutions and the industrial sector.
In addition to managing these activities, DIKST also provides mentoring for the downstreaming and commercialization of innovative products to ensure industry acceptance and market entry. To support these activities, DIKST provides facilities to researchers, inventors, and innovators, including: the DIKST Technology Transfer Office, Incubators and Accelerators, Capital, and support for the Science and Technology Regions, which include the Maritime Center, Creative Design Cluster, ICT and Robotics Cluster, and Automotive Cluster. With this organ, it is hoped that innovative products will grow that meet the needs of the industrial market, supported by Intellectual Property Rights protection, and technology-based business start-ups by novice entrepreneurs who are guided in the DIKST and indutrial environment.
To become a world-class university that contributes to national independence and serves as a benchmark in education, research, community service, and innovation development, particularly those supporting industry and maritime affairs.
