Surabaya July 28, 2026 – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) welcomed a benchmarking visit from the Department of Ranking (DoR), UiTM Global, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, to exchange best practices in university rankings management and institutional reputation enhancement.
The UiTM delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ts. Rosdiyana Hasham @ Hisam, Director of the Department of Ranking, accompanied by Mrs. Siti Nor Juhirniza Binti Mior Mohd Tahir, Senior IT Assistant at the Department of Ranking. The delegation was received by Prof. Srigunani Partiwi, Head of the Quality Assurance Office (KPM) ITS, along with Dr. Sarah Cahyadini, Head of the Institutional Reputation Unit, Dr. Unggul Wasiwitono, Director of Global Partnerships, Dr. Danar Guruh Pratomo, Head of the SDG and Smart Eco Campus Unit, and Dr. Shintami Chusnul Hidayati, Head of the Research Data and Scientific Services Subdivision at the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM).
During the meeting, ITS shared its strategies for strengthening institutional reputation through effective rankings data management, international collaboration, sustainability initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the enhancement of research publications and citations. The UiTM delegation also presented their experiences and approaches in managing ranking indicators and improving global university visibility.
The benchmarking session provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and discussion on current challenges and opportunities in higher education rankings. Both institutions expressed their commitment to fostering future collaboration and strengthening their global competitiveness through continuous improvement and international engagement.
