Surabaya, July 1, 2026 – The Quality Assurance Office (QAO) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) welcomed a benchmarking visit from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo (UNUSIDA) and the Polytechnic of Agricultural Development Malang (Polbangtan Malang) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The visit provided an opportunity for the participating institutions to strengthen collaboration and exchange knowledge on quality assurance practices in higher education.
The benchmarking session was attended by representatives from both institutions and received by the management of the ITS Quality Assurance Office. During the meeting, ITS shared its experiences and best practices in implementing quality assurance systems to support continuous improvement in education, research, and community engagement.
The discussion focused on various aspects of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), including quality assurance governance, quality document management, Internal Quality Audit (IQA) implementation, accreditation support for study programs and institutions, quality culture development, and the utilization of information technology in quality assurance processes. Participants also explored strategies for maintaining and enhancing academic quality in response to the evolving demands of higher education.
Through presentations and interactive discussions, representatives from UNUSIDA and Polbangtan Malang gained valuable insights into the quality assurance initiatives implemented at ITS. The exchange of experiences enabled participants to discuss common challenges and identify potential solutions for strengthening quality assurance practices within their respective institutions.
The visiting institutions expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn from ITS and acknowledged the importance of collaboration among higher education institutions in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. They also highlighted the relevance of the shared experiences in supporting the development of their own quality assurance systems.
The benchmarking visit concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation and promoting excellence in higher education through effective quality assurance practices. By exchanging best practices and experiences, the participating institutions aim to contribute to the advancement of higher education quality and the achievement of national and international quality standards.
